Community rules
Effective date: 13 October 2026
Didventure is where adults show the adventures they actually did, from a small trail to a safari, and see what everyone else is doing. These rules keep it real, safe and kind. They apply to everything you post: adventures, stories, reviews, spots, your profile, and how you use Stokes and follows.
1. Be real
- Post what you did. Your own adventures, your own photos and videos, or ones you have permission to share.
- Honest reviews only. Review what you experienced. No reviews for your own business, your employer, your friends' businesses, or in exchange for money, discounts or gifts, unless you clearly say so. No reviews to harm a competitor.
- No fake proof. Never fake a QR code, booking reference or receipt to get a verified stamp.
- No buying or selling Stokes, follows, accounts or reviews. No bots, no mass-following.
- One account per person. Do not pretend to be someone else, a business or Didventure.
- Paid partnerships are labelled. If a brand or operator paid you or gave you something for a post, say so in the story (for example "#ad" or "Paid partnership with ...").
2. Be safe, and keep others safe
Adventures can be risky. Showing them is welcome; pushing people towards danger is not.
| Welcome, with context | Restricted (may be hidden or limited) | Not allowed (removed) |
|---|---|---|
| Supervised skydives, climbing falls on protection, sanctioned motorsport, wipeouts, rescue and safety education | Graphic injuries and accident aftermath; content showing serious incidents | Instructions or encouragement to bypass operator safety systems or equipment |
| Hard, exposed or remote adventures done with appropriate skill and gear | Content where a minor-looking person does a high-risk activity | Trespass where the risk is substantial, entering closed or prohibited areas |
| Wildlife seen respectfully, from a distance and with licensed guides where required | Close wildlife encounters without context | Harassing, feeding or touching wild animals where it is harmful or illegal; disturbing protected habitats |
| Staged near-death challenges, "dares", or content that rewards escalating danger | ||
| Glorifying self-harm or suicide |
If someone is in danger now, call 112 or the local emergency number first.
3. Respect people
- No harassment or bullying, threats, hate speech, or attacks on people for who they are.
- No sexual content or nudity. No sexual content involving anyone who is, or looks, under 18, ever: we remove it and report it to the police.
- Respect other people's privacy. Do not post someone's private information (address, phone, documents, number plates where they identify a private person) or reveal where someone lives. Ask before posting people who can be clearly recognised, especially in close-up; remove a photo if they ask you to.
- Blocking works both ways. Do not use another account to get around a block.
4. Spots are public places
- Add a New spot only for a real, publicly accessible place where the activity happens. Never your home, a friend's home, or private property without permission.
- Do not add spots in protected or sensitive places where visits cause harm or are illegal. We may hide the location of sensitive places.
- Name spots accurately and do not duplicate an existing spot; pick the existing one when the app suggests it.
- Spots may not be used to advertise. Operators claim and edit their own pages through the operator programme.
5. Respect creators and the law
- Only post content you own or have permission to use, including music in your videos. Repeated copyright infringement leads to account closure.
- No illegal content of any kind: terrorism, child sexual abuse material, illegal goods or services, fraud, scams.
- No spam, misleading links, or misinformation that could cause physical harm (for example false safety claims about a place or an operator).
6. How we enforce these rules
- Review. New adventures are checked by a person before anyone else sees them, with the adventure's context. We do not use automated moderation.
- Reports. Tap Report on any adventure, review, profile or operator, choose a reason and add details. To report a spot, or without the app (including notices of illegal content and copyright claims), write to [email protected]. A real person reviews every report.
- Speed. We usually review every report within 24 hours, and threats to life or safety and child safety first.
- Auto-hide. Content reported by three different people is hidden while we check it.
- Actions. Depending on what happened: no action, a label or limited visibility, removal, a strike, a temporary suspension, or closing the account. Three strikes lead to a suspension review. Serious violations (child safety, credible threats, terrorism) close the account at once.
- Reasons and appeals. When we act on your content or account, we email you from [email protected] what we did and why. You can appeal within 14 days by replying; a person reviews the decision again, normally within 72 hours.
- Under 18. Didventure is for adults. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
- Fairness. Paying for Blaze or being an operator never changes how these rules apply.
7. Changes
We will update these rules as Didventure grows and tell you about important changes in the app.
